Information on Packing and Shipping Competition Samples

Short, clear instructions for preparing, packing, and shipping your samples to the Czech Brew Star competition. Full instructions are below and in the downloadable PDF.

Instructions for Packing Competition Samples

Thank you for paying the entry fee. Please follow the steps below when preparing and sending your samples.

1) Labels and Sample Identification

  • After payment you will receive an email with automatically generated competition labels.
  • Print them and attach one to each sample unit (elastic band / tape / glue).
  • Do not hand-edit the numbers or text on the labels.
  • If you are sending multiple units of the same beer, each unit must carry the same label.
  • Keep the original labels on bottles/cans—just add the competition label.
  • Anonymity: judges receive beer poured into a glass; bottles do not reach the judging tables.

2) Required Quantity and Packaging

  • For each registered beer, send at least 1000 ml in two or more bottles
    (e.g., 2×500 ml or 4×330 ml).
  • Pack carefully (protective fillers, bubble wrap, etc.) and place everything in a sturdy box.
  • Do not use glass containers without protection; prevent any movement of bottles inside the box.
  • Clearly mark the box “Czech Brew Star 2026” (in two places), and add FRAGILE and NO COD.
  • In winter, protect against freezing (inner padding, thermal foil).

Please place the package on the loading ramp (located directly under the fire escape). The spot is clearly visible and easy to find. Delivery Confirmation: Immediately after leaving the package, please send a confirmation SMS to: +420 776 486 945.

The gatehouse will notify staff, who will transfer the samples to cold storage.

Check-In and Acceptance

Upon delivery we will perform a formal check of data and labels. Samples with illegible labels, damaged packaging, or insufficient volume may be excluded. Samples are not returned. Storage at ~6 °C.

Voucher / Discount Code

If you purchased a voucher, apply it during payment/registration—only then will labels generate correctly and the correct price be applied. If you had a voucher and did not use it, contact us immediately.

Judging

Samples are evaluated by professional judges from Europe and the USA according to an internationally recognised methodology. Each beer receives an objective score and feedback.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

I didn’t receive the labels.
Check bulk/spam. If you don’t find the email within 15 minutes of payment, please write to us.

I want to change the beer name/style.
Reply to the confirmation email as soon as possible, include your registration ID and a clear description of the change.

Can I send more units of one beer?
Yes, but all units must carry the same competition label.

What if one bottle arrives broken?
If the minimum 1000 ml still arrives, the sample will be judged. Otherwise, we will contact you.
