Terms and Conditions
for the sale of goods, tickets, participation in the Czech Brew Star competition and the affiliated festival
1. Seller and Organizer
1.1. The operator of the website www.czechbrewstar.com and the supplier of goods and services is:

registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Regional Court in Brno
(hereinafter referred to as the “Seller”)
1.2. The organizer of the Czech Brew Star competition is Beer Academy s.r.o., in cooperation with Mendel University in Brno.
2. Subject of the Terms
These Terms and Conditions regulate the rights and obligations of the parties regarding:
- the purchase of goods and tickets through the e-shop,
- the registration and participation of breweries in the Czech Brew Star competition,
- the participation of visitors in the affiliated Czech Brew Star festival.
3. Conclusion of Contract
3.1. Orders are placed via the website www.czechbrewstar.com or by e-mail info@czechbrewstar.com.
3.2. The contract is concluded upon confirmation of the order and payment of the price.
3.3. The Buyer is obliged to provide complete and truthful information.
4. Price and Payment Terms
4.1. Prices are stated in CZK or EUR excluding VAT, unless otherwise specified. The Seller is a VAT payer.
4.2. Payment is made by bank transfer or via a payment gateway.
4.3. Registration for the competition is valid only after the payment has been credited.
5. Delivery Terms
Goods and Tickets
- Tickets are delivered electronically (e-ticket).
- Goods are delivered by carrier to the Buyer’s address.
- The delivery time of goods is usually 3–14 days from payment.
Competition Samples
- The participant is obliged to deliver samples according to the competition rules.
- Transport and insurance costs are borne by the participant.
- The Organizer is not liable for damage during transport.
6. Withdrawal from Contract
6.1 Consumer
- The consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
- This right does not apply to:
- tickets for events with a fixed date,
- goods subject to rapid spoilage,
- goods customized according to the customer’s wishes.
6.2 Entrepreneur (brewery, competition participant)
- The registration for the competition becomes binding upon payment of the fee.
- The participant has no right to withdraw from the contract or request a refund of the fee, even in the case of non-delivery of samples or disqualification from the competition.
7. Cancellation of Event or Competition
7.1. In the event of cancellation of the festival or competition due to force majeure (e.g. natural disaster, pandemic), tickets and registration fees will be refunded in full.
7.2. In the event of rescheduling, the customer may request a refund if unable to attend on the new date.
7.3. Participants’ costs for transport, accommodation or other expenses will not be reimbursed.
8. Complaints
Goods
- The consumer may claim defects in goods within the statutory 24-month period.
- Complaints will be handled within 30 days of receipt.
Tickets
- Ticket payments are non-refundable, except in cases where the event is cancelled or rescheduled.
Competition Fees
- Registration fees for the competition are non-refundable.
9. Festival – Rules of Attendance
9.1. Entry to the festival is permitted only with a valid ticket.
9.2. The Organizer reserves the right to refuse entry or expel persons who violate the visitor rules, are intoxicated, aggressive, or bring prohibited items.
9.3. Sale and service of alcoholic beverages to persons under 18 years of age is prohibited.
9.4. The Organizer is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or for damage caused by the visitor’s negligence.
9.5. The participant acknowledges that photographs and audiovisual recordings may be taken during the festival. Such recordings may be used for documentation and promotional purposes without any entitlement to compensation.
10. Intellectual Property
10.1. The “Czech Brew Star” competition, including logos and medals (Silver, Gold, Diamond Czech Brew Star), is a protected trademark of Beer Academy s.r.o.
10.2. Awarded breweries may use these designations only under the licensing terms provided.
10.3. Any unauthorized use of the brand, logos, or awards is prohibited.
11. Personal Data Protection
11.1. The Seller processes personal data in accordance with GDPR.
11.2. Data is used solely for the purpose of processing orders, competition registration, festival organization, and communication with participants.
12. Dispute Resolution
12.1. The relationship between the Seller and the Buyer shall be governed by the laws of the Czech Republic.
12.2. Consumers have the right to out-of-court dispute resolution through the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (www.coi.cz). For online purchases, consumers may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at: http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/.
12.3. Disputes between the Seller and Entrepreneurs shall be decided by the competent court with jurisdiction over the Seller’s registered office.
13. Final Provisions
13.1. These Terms and Conditions come into effect on the date of their publication on the website www.czechbrewstar.com.
13.2. The Seller reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions. The new version becomes effective upon publication.
